Principal's Message
Greetings, Dragon families! I am so excited about this school year and am expecting GREAT things to happen this year! We are purposed to have a REAL Deal year:
RESPECT - EXCELLENCE - ACADEMICS - LEADERSHIP
1. We will be RESPECTFUL and kind one to another.
2. We will pursue EXCELLENCE in all that we do.
3. We will arrive purposeful to complete all ACADEMICS each day.
4. We will pursue LEADERSHIP by doing the right thing, because we know it is the right thing to do, no matter what others are doing.
Please find below additional information:
Attendance
It is very important to the overall achievement of our students that they are present every day. In the event that your student is absent, send a Parent Note or Doctor Note school when the student returns to ensure the absence is excused. If you have any questions or concerns regarding attendance, contact our Attendance Clerk, Dawn Shrull, at 270-843-0166.
Academics
In our pursuit of EXCELLENCE, it is important that our students complete all of their assignments in an effort to learn and grow academically. We will provide multiple opportunities to assist the students from ESS, Saturday School, and Catch Up Dragon Cafe. Each of those opportunities will give students time to complete incomplete assignments. Please partner with us by checking Infinite Campus on a regular basis. If you do not have access to Infinite Campus, contact our Guidance Secretary, Natalie Burchett, at 270-843-0166.
FRYSC
If you are in need of a backpack and/or school supplies for the upcoming school year, please contact our Youth Service Center at lynn.vincent@warren.kyschools.us. Supplies will be ready for pick up before the first day of school.
Breakfast and Lunch
Breakfast and lunch will be free for all students this year! We encourage all students to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Studies show that eating breakfast positively affects school performance. The students have better concentration and more energy. Research findings include: students who eat breakfast in the morning before a test have significantly higher scores in math, spelling, and reading than those who don't.
We are the REAL Deal and are expecting to have a REAL Deal experience.
