I am delighted that you have chosen Moss Middle School for the next stage of your child's education. Our goal is to provide each student with a challenging and positive place to be, where students enjoy excellent outcomes.
At Moss Middle School, we strongly believe in everyone aspiring to be the best they can be - this allows us to fulfill our mission of empowering every student to pursue academic excellence beyond beyond middle school. This is underpinned by our values- - we are welcoming, we are united, we are nurturing, we are dedicated, we are ethical, we build relationships, we are professional.
Alongside a commitment to academic excellence, Moss students are encouraged to become fully involved in Dragon life. In addition, we want our students to be of a strong mind, will and heart, and we offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities to ensure this happens.
Our culture of respect, kindness, and leadership are of equal importance to that of academic success - we want our students to not only be successful, but to leave Moss with a robust moral compass. Our personalized approach and rich curricular and extracurriculuar after school activities make Moss a supportive and very positive place to learn.
A new truancy law has been passed by the Kentucky legislature and I want to inform you of the changes as it immediately impacts how our district is required to respond in instances of chronic absenteeism and/or tardiness. The new law states that if your child(ren) has 15 unexcused absences and/or events ( tardies, early check-outs, late check-ins, etc.), the Warren County Public Schools district has a legal obligation to refer you and your child to the Warren County Attorney’s Office, where parents/guardians and children risk being referred to court. Please click this link https://bit.ly/3SS2rWT to learn more about the important communication sent to all families regarding this new law in Kentucky.
We look forward to a REAL DEAL Dragon year.
