Principal's Message

Welcome to the website of Henry Moss Middle School. We are so excited to start the 2026-2027 school year. The Dragon Nation is going to be on F.I.R.E. this year by practicing Focus, Integrity, Respect, and Effort. Living these expectations each day will help us to achieve our goals for behavioral and academic excellence. 

We encourage each student to find a way to connect to the school community. We have so many clubs, arts and athletics to help build Dragon Pride throughout the year. Research shows that the more a student gets involved, the better he or she will perform in the classroom. Take a look around the website to find ways for your student to get involved.

We also like for parents and community members to take an active role in our school. Our open house and Title 1 parent night will take place on August 4, 2026 at 5:00 PM. We encourage each family to come, walk through the schedule and meet the teachers and staff. During this evening, you will learn all about the Moss Dragon Nation. 

Our students and staff practice the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and work to ensure we participate in engaging instruction throughout the day. We embrace our diversity and learn from each other and work to build respect for ourselves and others. If you ever have any questions, feel free to reach out to us here at the school.
